CHAPTER 1
A chance meeting in Mexico City during the World Cup
Dalia, a Supply Chain geek with a passion for art, and Martin, a marketing globetrotter recently returned from an adventurous stint in Morocco, had found themselves back in Mexico — Martin, drawn to his beloved (second) homeland to work for a local tech company. The lady of luck smiled upon them both when this prestigious tech company also provided Martin with accommodation in the trendy neighbourhood of Napoles in Mexico City. It was here that Martin began his journey as an Airbnb host, and in a twist of fate, who should step into that spare room but Dalia?! Unbeknownst to them, this serendipitous meeting during the World Cup was just the prelude to a love story that unfolded gracefully, weaving together the melodies of their shared experiences into a beautiful tapestry of connection and understanding, all to the rhythm and timing of the world cup’s four-year cycle!

Despite their obvious differences, Dalia and Martin soon realized they had a lot in common. From a love of languages, postgraduate studies at different Business Schools in Europe, to sharing a deep love for food, their connection went beyond the football frenzy. Dalia, a connoisseur of flavours with one of the best palates Martín has even known, appreciated the artistry of Martin's culinary skills, discovering that while she loved savouring food, he found joy in creating it.
CHAPTER 2
A Texas-Sized Adventure
After settling into life in Mexico City, Dalia and Martin found themselves enjoying daily bowling sessions in the basement of their building. Their love story took an interesting turn when they ventured into the Lone Star State As they embraced this new chapter as immigrants in yet another country, they never anticipated facing the chaos of the now notorious snowmageddon that swept through Dallas, Texas.
Amidst the icy streets and plummeting temperatures, Martin's resourcefulness kicked into high gear as he simply refused to let them freeze to death despite losing power for over a week. With the city in disarray, Martin became an unlikely hero, cobbling together makeshift heating solutions to keep them warm and cozy. Together, they laughed in the face of adversity, turning the snowy landscape into their own winter wonderland.
The snowmageddon wasn't just a blip on the radar—it became a badge of honour for their relationship, proving that love can thrive even in the chilliest of climates. From that snowy escapade onward, they knew they could conquer anything as long as they faced it side-by-side.
And so, the tale of Dalia, the spirited Spartan runner from Puebla, and Martin, the quick-witted ad exec with a heart as warm as a Mexican summer, unfolded against the backdrop of Texas. In the midst of the unexpected beauty of a snow-covered city, their love story continued to evolve, each chapter more unpredictable and delightful than the last. Little did they realize, their shared adventures were weaving an extraordinary tapestry of love, one snowy day at a time.

Love at the Top of the World
World Cup Qatar: Taking a break from his intensely passionate routine of watching football matches and basking in his new internet viral fame, Martin, prioritized something even more important: proposing to Dalia!
With this end he whisked Dalia to the top of the tallest hotel in the world, located in his former city of residence, Dubai, where dreams quite literally touch the clouds. The stunning views of the city lights reflected in Dalia's eye from up on high as Martin dropped to one knee after dinner. The city's dazzling skyline served as a breath-taking backdrop as he popped the question that would change their lives forever. Overwhelmed by nerves, Martin got down on one knee in the beautiful restaurant with the most fantastic night view of Dubai, asked Dalia to marry him to which she accepted.

But nobody tells you what you’re supposed to do next in this situation, so he just stayed there kneeling for a while until Dalia murmured the words “you have to put the ring on my finger” – “Ah yes, that!”. Then with all the restaurant applauding and cheering, the ring put on the finger which instantly became an eternal gesture of their love and devotion to each other.
CHAPTER 4
From Proposal to Puebla
And as with every beautifully scripted love story, it will continue against the backdrop of the State of Puebla, Mexico, where Dalia's roots run deep, the couple is gearing up for the grand finale—their wedding. Friends, family, and the spirit of Mexico will celebrate the union of the couple who found each other in the most unexpected of places.
However, as the wedding preparations unfold, there's a twist in their tale. Martin, captivated by the vibrant culture and deeply in love with Dalia, has made a life-altering decision. He has returned to Mexico, not just for the wedding, but to fulfill his long-time dream of becoming a Mexican and is currently studying for the naturalization exam, as well as keeping up his work as a marketing & Airbnb consultant, but also now taking acting, singing, stand-up comedy and voice classes. Embracing the warmth of Mexican traditions, Martin has chosen to make Mexico his home, weaving his story into the fabric of Dalia's homeland.
Meanwhile, Dalia finds herself in Texas, a place where their love story took an unexpected turn. Despite the physical distance, their connection remains strong. As they navigate the challenges of a long-distance relationship, the anticipation of their wedding day serves as a beacon, guiding them toward a future where their lives will once again intertwine very soon.
But the story is only just getting started…..
